Assist. Prof. Dr. Anitha T.S | Cancer Biology | Best Academic Researcher Award
Dept. of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Pondicherry University | India
Dr. Anitha T.S. is a biochemist and molecular biologist with expertise in cancer biology, drug repurposing, ocular biology, and translational animal biotechnology, with a strong focus on preclinical therapeutic evaluation. Her research emphasizes aggressive cancers such as glioblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma, addressing tumor progression, drug resistance, and synergistic treatment strategies. She has also made notable contributions to ocular biology, particularly in oxidative stress–mediated cataractogenesis and plant-derived bioactive therapies. Her work bridges fundamental molecular mechanisms with clinically relevant applications and has resulted in an international patent in cancer therapeutics. She has successfully led and contributed to nationally funded research projects and consultancy-driven industry collaborations. Dr. Anitha has published extensively in international journals and received prestigious national and international fellowships recognizing her scientific impact.
